These settings allow you to control how watermarks appear on your photos across the Parent Portal and when photos are shared. Watermarking helps protect your organization’s images and ensures consistent branding for your gallery.
⚠️ Note: Watermarks are only visible to parents on the Parent Portal or on shared/downloaded low resolution photos. Admins will not see the watermark when uploading or previewing photos within the admin panel. High resolution downloads do not include the watermark.
To navigate to your Organization's Watermark settings, click Set Up > Set Up
2. Click Summer
The following options are available:
1. Watermark Shared Photos
Enables watermarking of photos when they are shared or downloaded in low resolution through Bunk1.
-
Recommended: Set to "Yes" to ensure any photo shared outside the platform carries your watermark.
2. Watermark Photos on Parent Portal
Displays the watermark directly on photos shown in the gallery within the Parent Portal.
-
This helps deter screenshots or unauthorized sharing by ensuring the watermark is visible at all times.
3. Watermark Size
Controls how the watermark is applied to your photos, both in size and placement.
-
Normal – Places the watermark in the bottom-right corner of the image at a large, highly visible size (approximately 3× the standard size).
-
Prominent – Applies the watermark text repeatedly across the entire photo, creating a tiled effect. This offers the highest level of protection against cropping or reuse.
🛡️ Tip: Use Normal if you want a strong but single watermark, and Prominent if you're prioritizing photo security over aesthetic.
4. Watermark Text
This is the text that appears as the watermark on your photos (e.g., "Amazing Summer Camp").
-
If you choose prominent for your watermark size, this text will be used.
-
You must click the Update button for any changes to take effect.
5. Right Click Enabled in Gallery
When disabled, this prevents users from downloading photos using right-click or tap-and-hold options in most browsers.
-
Helps prevent unauthorized saving or copying of photos via simple browser actions.
Best Practices
- Upload your custom watermark before photo uploads to ensure full branding.
-
Keep watermark text clear and short.
-
Use consistent branding for summer and off-season events.
-
Review how watermarks look across mobile and desktop devices.
