The Updates platform allows camps to share content (copy, photos, videos, PDFs, and social media posts) with their audience. Mirroring other social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, this platform makes it easy for camps to do two things:
1. Share urgent information that could otherwise be buried in crowded inboxes or social media feeds
2. Give families insight into camp life, especially parts of camp life that their camper may not have been photographed in.
WEB
1. Click Updates on the top menu bar:
2. Choose your recipients:
- You can choose for everyone to see your update or you can direct your post to a specific session or custom audience.
3. Customize your message:
- Messages can include up to 750 characters.
4. Add attachments:
- You can attach up to 5 photos, a video fewer than 60 seconds long, a link to a Vimeo video (web only), or up to two PDFs (web only).
5. Select notification method:
- Users can receive a push notification and/or a text message.
5. Choose post now or schedule for later:
- Posts can be scheduled at any time during the current month.
- After selecting a later date and time to be posted, you will still click Post Now. That post will not be public on the updates feed or trigger any notifications until the selected date and time.
MOBILE
1. Your APP should appear in the Updates Tab. Click on the blue plus sign at the bottom of the screen.
2. Compose your post.
3. Tap Add Media to include up to 5 photos or a video of 60 seconds or less.
4. Check the boxes to select your notification preference. Send Notification will send a push notification to users and Send SMS Text will send a text message to users.

Please note: You can edit, delete, or modify messages in the feed (this will not send out an updated notification; if incorrect information is sent out, we encourage you to send out a new post highlighting the updated information).
